Steve, a native New Yorker, graduated from the School of Visual Arts. He began his career as an illustrator in the apparel industry, eventually transitioning to advertising as an art director/creative director. He has created memorable and award-winning work for some of the world’s biggest brands including Visa, Schwab, Snickers, Hasbro and Pepsi. You can view his ad work at stevenlblock.com.

Steve has always made time to pursue his own art. In addition to his visual art, he has written short stories, comic books, and treatments for screenplays and TV shows. In 2014 Steve started thesuperherooftheday.tumblr.com, a blog where he posts a new piece of comic book-inspired art every day. In 2016, he launched slblock63.threadless.com to sell his one-of-a-kind T-shirt designs.
